Abandoning Your Allies

Yes, this may sound like the cheesiest thing any respectable political blogger would say but welp, Trump is back and predictability is out of question. I want to sya this, there is nothing sane about this decision to go after USAID. Just because Elon Musk says so, it doesn't mean as the leader of the free world, you have to listen. There is one thing about politics that will always remain true. Emotions are not part of politics. You have to always use your brain. And Trump's diminishes brain is going to be a very big problem for the USA in the near future. There was a time the rest of the world used to think that the USA played chess while they played checkers. That the USA was always ten steps ahead of the rest of the rest. But after 2016, it was revealed this country has the largest population of the dumbest successful people in the world. So the respect the name used to command is long gone. And Trump, as much as he is feared, he is not respected. This is simply because he is a simpleton that is easily manipulated.

Abandoning poor countries that depended on the aid is cruel, people are going to die from hunger and diseases, things that were kept at bay because of the work of USAID. I am one of the proponents of the idea that aid has been the reason Africa is still behind in innovation and development. But the type of services USAID supported and the infrastructure it provided to reach the poorest communities is not the type of aid I am against. In addition, USAID was a means the USA government kept its presence in countries without requiring additional resources. Now who is going to fill that vacuum? For a president that is so consumed by this country's long lost mightyness, he fails to realize that isolating the USA from the rest of the world doesn't make it strong. If we don't have allies who we can trust, we will never feel safe. We need these countries, and aid was the leverage. Four years from now, the damage these ridiculous actions are going to cause will be unfixable.
